That’s a great start to deal with the opposition.
I’m thinking of dealing with Rachel Notely in this fashion. I’m sure there’s plenty I can deal with by going to the NDP platform, to educate people.
If the best indicator of future performance is past practice, then 10 key findings by the independent, non-partisan Ontario Auditor General suggest why it would be a bad idea to re-elect Premier Kathleen Wynne’s Liberals next month:
- Auditor General Bonnie Lysyk reports on April 25 that the Wynne government’s March 27 pre-election budget, underestimated government deficits for the next three years by a total of $16.6 billion, or 84%. A week later, David West, chief economist of the legislature’s Financial Accountability Office, came to a similar conclusion.
2. In her annual report in December, 2017, Lysyk estimated the Liberals would run a deficit of about $4.5 billion in 2017-18, contrary to government claims of a balanced budget, which the Liberals later increased to a claim of a $600-million surplus in their March 27 budget.
